Highly regarded Croatian football kinesiologist Josip Zbiljski has described the tried and tested George Afriyie as the solution Ghana football needs to restore it back to its days of success.
One hundred and twenty (120) delegates of the Ghana Football Association go to the polls on October 25 to elect a new President and Executive Council members.
Afriyie, who is the erstwhile vice President of the association, is regarded by most as the best candidate to win the Presidential elections after receiving the highest number of endorsements among all seven candidates who filed to contest for the top post in the West African nation.
The CAF AFCON Organising Committee member, who also possesses vast experience at the grassroots level after chairing the Juvenile Committee of the GFA, has launched a One Player One Ball policy at the Premier Colts division and is set to roll out a number of interventions to help restore, revive and redeem the sport in the country which has won the AFCON on four occasions.
And, Zbiljski who has spent some time working in Ghana has described Afriyie as the solution Ghana football needs now to flourish again.
“I realized that he was a very serious and responsible man. a man with a vision. I am personally convinced that he can help Ghanaian football. That he could lay it on sound foundations and emerge from the crisis he fell into,” he told Ghana Sports Online.
Zbiljski holds a masters degree in sports and is also high school professor.
The Croatian becomes the latest to endorse Afriyie after former Tottenham Hotspur and Switzerland player Ramon Vega as well as Bora Milutinovic both endorsed him.
