No crack in the House of Reps says spokesman

The speaker for the House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu (APC-Abia), says there is no crack among the members  of the House associated with Representatives.

In a statement he issued on Sunday in Abuja, Kalu urged the public to ignore reports in the media suggesting there is division in the house.

He said that house led by Representative. Femi Gbajabiamila has no division either one of the principal officers or the membership and the particular leadership.

“It is important to note that comparatively, since the Fifth Republic, the 9th Assembly remains the most united house.

“Members are motivated by the leadership culture and style of typically the speaker which have been selfless.

“It is focused on true nation-building which has been bought by the regular membership who have all keyed into the legislative agenda set as this road map towards the achievement of this mission, ” he said

According to him, one or two dissenting voices as expected may not completely be on board often the mission train.

The lawmaker said that will such negligible opinion would not represent the majority interest regarding the ninth House involving Representatives

Kalu urged the public to focus on your 15 agenda of the exact 9th Assembly and what it represents for the people of Nigeria.

The spokesmen said of which ”the press is a recognised and an important partner in the very nation-building task”.

The parliamentarian advised the mass media to be mindful of encouraging peddling connected with baseless rumours, propaganda and other forms of information disorder.

Kalu declared that beyond being the traditional source of news, ”the multimedia remains a strategic tool for national peace, unity and progress”.

He told the advertising to always verify information from the official spokesperson with the home as he remains  the credible source with regard to any info affecting the main 9th Set up.
