Rescued Bayelsa State Commissioner for Water Resources’ son, Antonio Talbot (Centre)

Antonio Talbot, the 6-year-old son of Bayelsa Condition Commissioner with regard to Water Resources, Hon Nengi Talbot who was abducted on December 22nd 2019, has been rescued by operatives of the state police command after 15 days in captivity.

The young Antonio was rescued Tuesday afternoon simply by a team of operatives from Operation Puff Adder led by simply DSP Chris Nwaogbo at the riverside town of Ikiebiri in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area associated with the state.

Five regarding his abductors were apprehended by the police while the alleged ring leader of the particular kidnap gang is upon the run.

The rescued lad had been presented to the condition commissioner involving Police, Mr Uche Anozia who in turn handed over the boy to their elated parents in the Marine Police jetty in Yenagoa at about 6. 30 evening.

Presenting this child to the parents, Mister Anozia said: “the rescue of often the child seemed to be as a result of your effort put in place by the exact police command. We have been chasing the kidnappers from creek in order to creek. You know Bayelsa is about 80 per cent connected with water.

“Today we went to Ikiebiri where the child was initially kept and being fed by the man. Fortunately, we succeeded in rescuing the child plus also arrested his abductors. ”

Narrating his ordeal, little Antonio said he was fed about noddles in addition to tea during the day and soup and fish at night.

The elated father with the child, Mr Nengi Talbot, thanked God regarding ensuring that no harm came his / her son’s way during the incarceration in the kidnappers’ den.

“It has been a nightmarish experience for us since his or her abduction in December 22, 2019. I want to thank God, the express police control and all those who made the save of my son possible.

“Most kidnapped victims are often killed but I thank God the son was basically rescued unhurt, ” he said.
