The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media General, Madam Beatrice Agyemang has emphasized that women empowerment is no more about women locking horns with men but the recognition of the fact that women have demonstrated their capabilities beyond doubt.
She iterated that women are worth celebrating and it’s important we recognize their efforts.
“It is no longer a fight between women and men. It is not women fighting for their place” she stated.
She told Helen Appiah Ampofo on the International Women’s Day (IWD) edition of the 3FM Sunrise Morning Show that it takes a supportive husband and a good support system to help hard-working women to get the balance.
“It is not easy combining family and work because it needs a fine balance” the CEO of Media General echoed
Madam Beatrice Agyemang further mentioned that she will opt for a woman not just for woman sake but because women are hardworking and have proven to be better leaders.
Madam Beatrice Agyemang was awarded the CEO in the media sector for the year 2021 at the Ghana CEO Summit.
Her sterling leadership, achievement, business excellence and professionalism in the media sector is a testament of what women can do when granted the opportunity.
